We are Rolando and Selene; on behalf of our entire family, including our youngest daughter, Eva Angelina, we proudly call Sendas del Mar part of our family. As a first-generation family raised in the US - Texas and with Mexico as our upbringing, we appreciate both countries. We have a vast family in the country and down the road here in wonderful Guerrero. Our extensive travels across the US, Canada, Mexico, and overseas have given us a global perspective. But we have found the warmth and friendly, inviting community of Barra de Potosi to be a wonderful mix of old/local culture and sounds, a peaceful and relaxing setting, and the beaches, river, and food we find add to the enjoyment. So here we are, sharing our new home with you in Barra de Potosi, which is part of the Zihuatanejo community.
We spend a lot of time in our new home, as Selene and Eva adore the closeness to nature and its peacefulness. This love for nature is something we aim to share with our guests, ensuring a positive and serene experience. With 35 years of running successful businesses in the US, we are known for our hospitality and creating a positive experience. We bring this culture to our new home and hope your stay is as delightful as ours, where we revel in the beauty of nature and the tranquility of the beach. We are Gary and Wendy McPhie, the proud co-owners of Sendas del Mar, and are from British Columbia Canada. After far too many cold Canadian winters and countless rainy days in between, we decided to spend the majority of our days in beautiful Zihuatanejo - and have never looked back!

We are Gary and Wendy McPhie, the proud co-owners of Sendas del Mar, and are from British Columbia Canada. After far too many cold Canadian winters and countless rainy days in between, we decided to spend the majority of our days in beautiful Zihuatanejo - and have never looked back!
After Gary's 40+ years as a builder of upscale luxury homes across BC, and Wendy's 20+ years in logistics, we decided to say "Adios!" to the snow and "Buenos Dias!" to Zihua living.
Spending 32 years vacationing in Zihua, prompted us to finally decide to invest in this beautiful paradise. In 2022, we purchased two exquisite properties: Sendas Del Mar, an oceanfront oasis on Playa Blanca in Barra de Potosi, and Bella Vista Penthouse, a beautiful 2-level penthouse overlooking Playa La Ropa, and would love to share these properties with discerning luxury vacation seekers.

Tito, our Property Manager extraordinaire, has been a valued member of the Sendas family since 2009. He and his wife, Carmen, live on the property, and are the real go-to people for our guests. Once a pro soccer player, Tito has been known to kick the ball around with guests who are as equally passionate about the sport.

Once a pro soccer player, Tito has been known to kick the ball around with guests who are as equally passionate about the sport.
Tito's passion for gardening is apparent as you meander through the property and observe his plant propagation techniques., and his excellent culinary skills at preparing fish keeps are nearly bellies full. He's always happy to harvest a fresh coconut or other fruit from the lush vegetation on the property for guests.
Tito is an expert at connecting guests with the ideal guide for their desired adventure as he knows everyone in the village and has become truly awesome at matching guests with guides suited to their desired level of adventure.

Carmen is an amazing culinary gem, and prepares traditional and authentic Mexican cuisine exclusively for our guests. She is the proud owner of "Carmen's Cocina" (see menu HERE), our onsite culinary offering, and prepares dishes ranging from appetizers to the freshest catch-of-the-day entrees.

When she's not cooking up a storm, Carmen also takes care of housekeeping for each of the 3 Villas. Her impeccable attention to housekeeping detail has received rave guest reviews.
Carmen is very active in the local community, including participating in the women's art collective and music study group. Her kind, friendly disposition, and delightful sense of humor makes Sendas feel like a home away from home for our guests.
Carmen and Tito are the best at what they do, and the Sendas team is very fortunate to have them onboard, taking the utmost care of our guests.
