When my friend and I arrived at Villa Mandela, we were so delighted.  The beautiful villa was spacious with an open living space, the photos do not do justice to this magnificent property. From the quiet walks on the beach to the stunning sunsets in the evening, it is truly magical.  Wendy and Gary are extremely welcoming and helpful hosts, with much knowledge of the area, as are Tito and Carmen. The little village is a very short walk and offers all the groceries and restaurants you need. The beautiful 9 mile beach offers peace and tranquility or the excuse to stop for a margarita on the way.  We both look forward to bringing our spouses next time!

Oceanfront Luxury On The Last Best Beach

"This is a spectacular property, from the location to the service, everything was above and beyond. It was impeccably clean and the on property care takers were absolutely lovely. The pictures do not do it justice. I loved the architecture with the high vaulted ceilings and the concrete floors, not to mention the private pool. Direct beach access was a plus and the quiet town of Barra de Potosi next door had everything we needed for our stay. Our hosts were very accommodating and answered every question we had. I would highly recommend this property and definitely hope to stay again soon. Mahalo!"

The beauty of the setting, lovely accommodations, welcoming hosts, and the surrounding charm of the fishing village of Barra de Potosi make this vacation hideaway simply ideal for an incredibly relaxing week or two . If one is seeking a respite from the hectic pace of daily life or simply a break from the mundane, they will be well-rewarded with a stay at Villa Mandala. "We loved it, beautiful place, loved the landscaping, Tito and crew were very nice, we had great neighbors while we were there which was nice- actually hung out together a bit—felt very comfortable with the shared pool and luckily Howard was very generous with the space he had, being the renter of the big house. I think we would/ (hope to ) rent Tamarindo next time just because of the stove and full refrigerator but we definitely got by fine with what we had.

Miss it already!

Oh also fun to be so close to town and we enjoyed watching the fishermen and birds- and the ocean water was perfect.

No complaints at all. (Except maybe a better shower head….? ) Hope to stay longer next time. Thanks!

"A perfect place…we googled “nature in Mexico” and this is what we found…the hosts are wonderful …it really is hard to put it all in words, but if you like to have time stopped, if you like sunsets, if you like quiet and beauty, if you love the ocean, if you like the songs of birds, yes…even the rooster, if you love to swim, to walk the beach, to stand under a sea of stars with the surf pounding in front of you…etc etc…then this is the perfect place for you."

  "My husband and I just returned from Mexico late last night. I wanted to let you know how much we truly enjoyed this little slice of heaven.  Tito, Carmen and the rest of the staff were always available to help and guide us.  It was fun meeting all of the other guests, most returning from previous visits.

We can't say enough about the people living in this peaceful little town.

Our flight was canceled on Thursday, due to a snowstorm in our state. Our return trip was rescheduled to Sunday.  We decided to take this opportunity to check out Zihuatanejo before returning home. It was a fun little adventure, but nothing like the peacefulness and laidback feeling of Sendas Del Mar.

We are already planning on returning next year.  Thank you again for sharing this beautiful place with us."
